Jeannemisha Martinez Carter captures the quintessential word of nature through her poetic lens to bring an abundance of inspiration and emotion to the the thirsty heart. She was born in the beautiful hues of Alaska and now resides in the earth tones of the Pacific Northwest. She says her parents taught each of their seven children to appreciate the uniqueness of each individual, and to cherish the astonishing beauty nature has to offer us. Her photography prints, postcards, canvas and glasses are adored and displayed in homes and businesses with her hope of healing and love.

Jeannemisha is a black belt who has taught and learned in South Africa, London, and the United States with students from Nashville, New Orleans, Long Beach, Albany, New Mexico, San Juan, San Juan, Houston, Phoenix, Indianapolis and Alaska. Her classes include her photography with motivational and inspirational quotes designed for each session. Her non-profit, Carter Karate Institute of Peace has raised funds that benefited Hurricane Katrina, Japan Tsunami, Oso Mudslide, Family Shelter, and Doctor’s Without Borders.

As a local journalist in Washington State, Jeannemisha has kept her heart on the pulse of community and global events that affect a person’s ability to fully embrace who they are in a world of make believe. She has produced and written plays, Damn Victims, Defend Monologue Festival and Whiskey Lane - Blood White and The Criminal Color.
